The DG Murray Trust (DGMT) is a public innovator committed to developing South Africa’s potential. We have just appointed the present Innovation Director, Kentse Radebe, as DGMT’s new Deputy CEO and wish to find a dynamic and capable person to take her place.
In partnership with government, civil society and the private sector, DGMT will help drive the National Programme of Action for Children through a programme Accelerator. The new Innovation Director will be part of leading this exciting new opportunity.
The Innovation Directors, together with the Chief Financial Officer, the Chief Operating Officer and the Director of Communications, form part of the executive management of the DG Murray Trust. This team is responsible for the overall strategic and operational management of the DGMT.

Under the guidance and direction of the Innovation Director:

Leadership of DGMT’s programmatic work
Reporting to the CEO, the Innovation Director will be responsible for the management of the programmatic work of the Trust towards the goal of ‘All children on track by Grade 4.
This will include:
DGMT programmatic strategies are rolled out effectively.
High quality documentation and reporting.
The programme team works effectively.
Integration of the programmatic activities of the portfolio into the work of the Accelerator for Children
Working as the strategic lead of the Accelerator of the National Programme of Action for Children (to be incubated by DGMT).
Grant portfolio aligned with priorities of the Accelerator.
Management of specific strategic projects
Reporting to the CEO, the Innovation Director will also directly manage certain strategic projects.
These include:
Strategic guidance and oversight to lead projects implementers.
Managed partner relationships.
Contribution to continuing strategic development of projects.
Strategy development and support
Strategic support which may include meeting individuals or reviewing projects to assess strategic opportunities,; speaking in public forums and other work that drives the strategy of DGMT
